Our Special Ops team of young people, who came from the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, just left Israel after spending the last 6 weeks hard at work.
Our volunteer teams always leave an impact on the land and people of Israel, but during times of crisis like these, even more so. The farmers, leaders and pioneers in Israel cannot believe that people from all over the world would sacrifice their time, money and energy to come to the Holy Land during war time to work hard building up Judea and Samaria.
This small but mighty team of Special Ops worked hard all throughout Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and accomplished far above and beyond what anyone could have imagined.
Here are a few highlights from their time over the last six weeks -
Vineyard Infrastructure - Put in infrastructure for 6 different vineyards (that's more than 10 acres)
- Built a kilometer of fencing
- Planted 6,000 new vines
Greening Israel - Planted 195 new trees at 5 forest sites
- Watered, weeded, repaired water boxes and wire cages, and serviced 3,644 trees at 4 different forestry sites
Operation Ittai - Assembled and delivered 760 protective vests
.....And so much more. The Special Ops team made an impact at more than 22 towns and cities throughout Israel, and interacted with more than 25 pioneers, leaders and settlers throughout Israel's Biblical Heartland.
If you would like to join us for a future volunteer program in Israel, make an impact on the land, and experience Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria for yourself, check out our calendar for upcoming programs. |
