When our Animal Rescue Team recently assisted with an alleged neglect case, they found a small, hairless dog huddled inside a kitchen cabinet, trembling and barely moving. Because of supporters like you, she was one of more than 70 animals saved that day. She woke up the next morning to a warm meal in a safe, clean place and received veterinary care for the painful skin condition that took her fur. Today, her name is Misty, and she is discovering just how good life can be. Right now, another animal is waiting for their second chance, just like her, and you can help.
These days, Misty is healthy, playful and settling in beside her new family. Stories like hers are why our teams stay ready every single day. Summer and fall are our busiest rescue seasons, with wildfires, storms, floods and other disasters that can put dogs and cats in harm's way in an instant.
