Dear, She feels her babies kick. Then she feels the poison. Every day, experimenters drag the pregnant rabbit from her laboratory cage, pry open her mouth, and pump pesticides directly down her throat. Her stomach cramps, and her heart hammers, but she can’t escape—and she has no way to protect the babies who are being slowly killed inside her. |

When not locked up, rabbits are wonderful family animals who form close bonds, explore, and express joy through play. They purr softly when content and leap joyously into the air when happy. In laboratories, all joy and comfort, all security, is stripped away. Their powerful instincts to flee danger are useless as they’re trapped, restrained, and deliberately harmed and eventually killed in painful, deadly experiments like these documented examples: |

You can help end such indefensible atrocities. Please make your gift of just $2 or more for World Week for Animals in Laboratories. |

It is only compassionate donors who are helping provide the fuel that allows us to achieve landmark progress for animals in laboratories. PETA and our international entities have exposed abuse in university and product testing laboratories, achieved historic bans on various kinds of testing, and pushed thousands of companies to go cruelty-free. Just recently, PETA scientists collaborated with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to advance non-animal methods for skin-irritation tests like those described above—a vital shift towards ethical research that helps humans and spares animals suffering. |
Together, we CAN and MUST stop rabbits from being abused and killed in such crude and pointless tests. Please don’t wait. Make your gift today, Cid Marcos, and be one of 2,000 donors needed by April 25. |

Thank you for your compassion. |
