Without your help, these dogs might not survive the winter.

Match My Gift

Dear,

With temperatures plummeting, isolated “backyard dogs” are enduring miserable weather that will only get more dangerously cold in the winter days to come—and without help, some may not survive.

They spend their days frantically licking the slush from their cold paws before it freezes. When temperatures drop at night, they shiver inside overturned barrels or whatever flimsy excuse for “shelter” their owners have provided, hoping someone will bring them inside as beloved members of the family.

While many of us are preparing to celebrate the New Year, PETA fieldworkers are delivering hope to dogs left outside in deadly winter weather—providing food, sturdy doghouses, and essential care—just as they do every day throughout the year. There are so many dogs who are chained outside right now. You can provide emergency help by sending a customized care package. Choose as many items as you’d like, including nutritious food, a tangle-free tie-out, toys, and an insulated doghouse.

Our fieldworkers always do their best to persuade people to bring dogs inside, where they belong. While a new doghouse is no substitute for being allowed indoors with the rest of the family, a PETA doghouse could mean the difference between life and death for a freezing dog.

Thank you for your compassion for dogs and all animals.

Kind regards,
