At operations like this one, mother dogs and their puppies wail and pace inside filthy wire-floored cages, desperate for affection or relief. The sound of their desperate cries is almost deafening.

At such factories, puppies commonly die. This puppy, who was found in a feces-smeared bin, didn’t survive.
