ABSURDO

Match My Gift

Dear,

A panicked puppy struggles frantically to remove a tight mask—similar to those used by experimenters to force dogs to inhale toxic chemicals.

The puppy is a prisoner of Marshall BioResources, a massive supplier of animals to experimenters. The company charges more for puppies it claims to have “trained” to wear inhalation masks, making it easier for experimenters to test chemicals on them. This puppy isn’t being poisoned yet, but he likely will be.

Marshall BioResources imprisons and breeds tens of thousands of dogs and other animals for experimentation at their facility in a quiet community in upstate New York. At operations like this one, mother dogs and their puppies wail and pace inside filthy wire-floored cages, desperate for affection or relief. The sound of their desperate cries is almost deafening.

At such factories, puppies commonly die. This puppy, who was found in a feces-smeared bin, didn’t survive.

Marshall BioResources sells beagles to laboratories where experimenters confine them to barren metal cages and can subject them to painful procedures, such as forcing them to inhale chemicals, cutting them open for invasive surgeries, pumping pesticides into their stomachs every day, and more—until the moment they are dragged from those cages and killed.

Thanks to supporters like you, we’ve rescued dogs bred for experimentation, shut down cruel experiments, and convinced airlines to stop shipping animals to their deaths in laboratories. Right now, we’re urgently pressuring the U.S. Department of Agriculture to shut down Marshall BioResources so that they can’t hurt any more animals—and we need your help.

We’ve set a deadline of December 31 to raise $250,000 for animals. Gifts made after that date or after our goal has been met will not be matched, but they’ll still make a tremendous difference to our work for all animals.
