Dear, A monkey named Cornelius sits constantly hunched over with his face pressed against the bars of a barren cage, his eyes glazed and hollow. Since 2010, he has been a prisoner at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center, where experimenters tore him from his mother’s side and used him in one cruel experiment after another. Sixteen years of torment and captivity have taken nearly everything from Cornelius. |
please make your gift to PETA’s “Stop Animal Testing” Challenge to help Cornelius and other animals who are tormented in laboratories. Every dollar you give will be TRIPLED—up to our $500,000 goal. This matching offer ends tomorrow. We’ve gone ahead and set aside $50 of our matching funds just for you because we know your compassion for animals. |

Cornelius is one of countless victims of the seven national primate research centers (NPRCs)—federally funded facilities rife with abuse and neglect:
With your support, PETA is pushing for the closure of all NPRCs and the release of the monkeys imprisoned in them to sanctuaries where they can live in peace and safety. We’re opening eyes with bold exhibits, waging—and winning—legal battles, and exposing and ending crude experiments. A PETA investigator working undercover at the Wisconsin NPRC gave Cornelius a cardboard tube stuffed with toilet paper. He clutched it desperately—his only comfort in a lifetime of misery and pain. |
Not a minute of Cornelius’ life has been his own, and not a minute more should be spent in a bleak laboratory. Please give before tomorrow’s deadline to help PETA end all experiments on animals, while your support goes three times as far. |
Thank you for all that you do to help animals. |

We’ve set a deadline of October 31 to raise $500,000 through the “Stop Animal Testing” Challenge. Gifts made after that date or after our goal has been met will not be matched, but they’ll still make a tremendous difference to PETA’s work to end cruel and archaic experiments on animals. |
