Our Animal Rescue Team deployed to South Carolina to rescue more than 40 dogs and puppies from an alleged cruelty situation involving an apparently prominent dog breeder with a huge online following. Found in sweltering heat with minimal protection from the elements, many of the dogs were on heavy chains, standing in mud and water. At least one puppy has a visible wound on their head, and several dogs have scars consistent with dogfighting.
Conditions on the property were dirty, and some dogs had only barrels for shelter. Several have inflamed paws, apparently from standing in water for weeks at a time.
