Every year, dogs and cats, many stolen family pets or strays, are taken from the streets and funneled into the brutal dog and cat meat trade. They are transported in small, rusty wire cages, often stacked and packed tightly together, and left for days in the relentless summer heat without food or water, surrounded by their own waste.
By the time these dogs arrive for slaughter, many are already injured, dehydrated or dying. Those who survive the journey are beaten and killed for their meat. It’s a nightmare no animal should ever endure.
