Dear, A worker grabbed Blue, shoved her into a filthy wire cage, and crammed her onto a truck bound for a live-animal market. Her bright blue eyes went wide with fear as she heard other animals howling in pain. Cats like Blue are stolen off the streets or born on miserable factory farms—then killed for their fur. They’re hanged, bled to death, or strangled with wire nooses. Many are skinned alive. A PETA Asia investigator working undercover at the market locked eyes with Blue. The terrified cat stared out from the rusty cage, pressing her nose against the bars in desperation. Then a worker dragged the cage away—and Blue was gone. |

PETA exposés of China’s fur trade reveal the suffering of cats, dogs, and other animals—many of whom are abducted, trucked for days without food or water, and abused at live-animal markets like this one. Eyewitnesses saw:
The cats’ fur is sold as cheap clothing and trinkets or exported to other countries, including the United States, to be sold in retail stores without the knowledge of the consumers. |

But you can help stop this. Don’t wait—your matched gift today does THREE TIMES as much to end this vile industry and save animals. Even $2 helps. |

Because of supporters like you, we’ve persuaded hundreds of companies to ban fur, convinced countless consumers to shun animal skins, and secured unprecedented cruelty charges against animal abusers in the fur and skins industries. This is your opportunity to challenge the violent trade in animal skins, fur, feathers, and hair on a global scale. Your gift powers undercover investigations, drives high-pressure campaigns, and helps end fur imports and sales. Cid Marcos, Blue might once have had a family. She might have had another name. But the investigator named her “Blue”—because although he only knew her for a moment, he never forgot her pleading eyes. I know you won’t either—and you can honor her by taking action now. |

We’ve set a deadline of June 30 to raise $250,000 through the “Save Our Skin” Matching-Gift Challenge. Gifts made after that date or after our goal has been met will not be matched, but they’ll still make a tremendous difference in our work to save animals from the global clothing industry and promote vegan fashion. |
