Save Cats Like Blue

PETA exposés of China’s fur trade reveal the suffering of cats, dogs, and other animals—many of whom are abducted, trucked for days without food or water, and abused at live-animal markets like this one. Eyewitnesses saw:  Workers cramming up to 20 cats into a single wire cage and hurling the cages from the tops of trucks. The cats screamed as they fell 10 feet and slammed into the concrete below.   The bodies of dead cats lying on top of cages packed with the living. Workers mercilessly kicked the surviving cats, prodded them, and dragged them out with metal poles. Workers peeling off cats’ skin and tossing them into piles. One cat cried in apparent agony next to the bloody, stripped-off skins of others. The cats’ fur is sold as cheap clothing and trinkets or exported to other countries, including the United States, to be sold in retail stores without the knowledge of the consumers.
