Dear, The power of your voice has forced the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine to cancel its horse-killing laboratory, saving eight healthy and adoptable horses from certain death. The goat laboratory, sadly, had already run its course. School officials received more than 36,000 e-mails and calls from concerned PETA supporters, and also heard strong objections from alumni, veterinarians, and the veterinary organization Our Honor. As a result, they listened, canceling the planned laboratory, in which the horses were slated to be used by veterinary students to practice complicated abdominal surgeries before killing them. PETA thanks the university for sparing the horses and continues to press the school to send them to a reputable sanctuary. Please join us by taking action below.
