From a pony forced to run on a broken leg to others with blood poisoning, how many more ponies will have to die before Southern Methodist University (SMU) understands that they should not be used as mascots?
One way elephants communicate with each other is through their feet, which contain bundles of nerve sensors. These nerve sensors can translate the ground’s seismic vibrations into a nerve impulse that sends a message to the brain. These messages can tell the elephant about what might be causing the vibration and what direction it is coming from.
